Terms and Conditions for Blended Learning Programmes and Modules

These terms and conditions apply to following three blended learning programmes and all individual modules:

  • General Practice Nurse (GPN) Training Programme
  • The Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) Training Programme
  • General Practice Management (GPM) Training Programme
  • Introduction to Practice Finance Module
  • Managing People in General Practice and Primary Care Module

The cost for attendance per student on the GPN programme is £850 (plus VAT), HCSW programme is £650 (plus VAT), GPM programme is £999 (plus VAT). The cost for attendance per student on a module is £160 (plus VAT). Payment can be made online via credit or debit card for individual booking. Payment by invoice is available for group bookings and by request for an individual booking. To request an invoice for the programme, please email nursetraining@lmc.org.uk / gpmtraining@lmc.org.uk Payment is required as a one-off payment, it is not possible to pay in instalments at this time.

All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions set out below. The person making the booking accepts all terms and conditions as set out herein on behalf of those named as the student(s).

The cost of the blended learning programmes include; access to the online units for a maximum of 12 months, electronic copies of programme documentation, access to a personal tutor for academic support, dedicated technical support, lunch, refreshments and a copy of the documentation on the two (or three) face-to-face taught days.

The cost of a module includes; access to the online unit for a maximum of 6 months, lunch, refreshments and a copy of the documentation on the face-to-face taught day.

Entry Requirements for the GPN Training Programme:

Students who wish to enrol on the programme must meet the following entry requirements before making payment:

  • Be a registered adult nurse.
  • Be employed or have placement time within a practice with an appropriate contract / agreement.
  • Be supported within the practice by being given time to attend both taught days.
  • Be supported within the practice by being assigned an experienced practice nurse mentor who can sign off the competency document
  • Have a good standard of written English.

Entry Requirements for the HCSW Training Programme:

Students who wish to enrol on the programme must meet the following entry requirements before making payment:

  • Be employed or have placement time within a practice with an appropriate contract / agreement.
  • Be supported within the practice by being given time to attend both taught days.
  • Be supported within the practice by being assigned an experienced practice nurse mentor who can sign off the competency document
  • Have a good standard of English.

Entry Requirements for the GPM Training Programme:

Students who wish to enrol on the programme must meet the following entry requirements before making payment:

  • Be a new practice manager, a manager who wishes to work in general practice or someone within general practice aspiring to the role of a practice manager for example an assistant practice manager or senior receptionist.
  • Have good standard of English and essay writing skills.
  • Have the ability to reflect on personal practice.
  • Have access to a mentor who is currently working in general practice as a practice manager who can sign off the competency document.
  • Be supported within the practice to attend the three taught days.

Entry Requirements for the Introduction to Practice Finance Module:

Students who wish to enrol on the module must meet the following entry requirements before making payment:

  • Suitable for practice managers / finance managers / business managers / operational managers who are new to general practice or expecting to take on a role in the financial management of the practice.
  • GP Partners who are new to partnership or new to a financial role are more than welcome to attend.
  • A practice manager who lacks confidence with finance.
  • Students will need to have access to email.

Cancellations & Refunds:

To cancel a place on any of the programmes or modules, notice of cancellation must be made in writing to nursetraining@lmc.org.uk / gpmtraining@lmc.org.uk

If a cancellation is made within 30 working days of making payment, students will receive a full refund minus a 10% administration fee. If a cancellation is made between 30 and 40 working days, students will receive a 50% refund, and if a cancellation is made after 40 days’ no refund is available.

Cancellation Period Cost
Within 30 working days 10% of the total cost will be charged
Between 30 and 40 working days 50% of the total cost will be charged
After 40 days 100% of the total cost will be charged

 

Cancellation charges apply in all cases. We regret that we have to do this, however all bookings involve administrative costs and students have the opportunity to view online materials.

Access requirements:

Dietary requirements:

We always provide vegetarian options on our taught days, but please inform us when you register if you need us to cater for any other dietary requirements.

Data protection and Data use:

Londonwide Enterprise Ltd and Londonwide LMCs Ltd are committed to protecting your privacy and security. Both Londonwide LMCs Ltd and Londonwide Enterprise Ltd are registered as Data Controllers with the Information Commissioner’s Office, as required under the Data Protection Act 1998. Londonwide LMCs Ltd registration number is Z1239475 and Londonwide Enterprise Ltd is Z1965945. In order to deliver the blended learning programme and modules you have purchased, we need to process and store your personal information, which will be done in a secure manner. Personal information is being processed under the data protection processing condition that it is necessary to process this information to fulfil the contract of providing a training programme / module to you.

Kent House Ltd is under contract with Londonwide Enterprise Ltd to provide and host the software used to run the blended learning programmes for Londonwide Local Medical Committees Limited and Londonwide Enterprise Limited. Kent House Ltd is a data processor and is only allowed to access the personal data as required to fulfil their duties as determined in the contract with Londonwide Enterprise Ltd, as the data controller and this will be done on a strictly ‘need to know’ basis and with appropriate access controls and technological security to ensure that this requirement is satisfied.

All online payments are made securely through the Stripe payments and WooCommerce platforms.

The GPN training programme is academically accredited by Middlesex University. In order for students to receive their credits with Middlesex University, we are required to share some of your personal information with them. Information shared will include name, address, date of birth, contact number and anonymous equality and diversity monitoring information. This personal information is required to ensure that students are eligible to receive the Certificate of credits.

It may be appropriate in some circumstances for us to share your personal information with a third party such as another authority like the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) or an employer.

Event language:

Alterations to the advertised event:

It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of Londonwide Enterprise Ltd to alter the timing or date of the taught day or the venue but the taught day objectives will remain the same. Londonwide Enterprise Ltd reserve the right to postpone a taught day up to and including the date of the taught day if insufficient bookings have been received. In the unlikely event that a taught day is cancelled by Londonwide Enterprise Ltd (as opposed to postponed), we will extend access to the programme. The one-year time frame will come in to affect from the taught day 1 date rather than the date of purchase. We will not be liable to you for any other costs or losses, whether direct or indirect. This does not affect your statutory rights. Londonwide Enterprise Ltd shall not be liable for loss of profit or business damage, whether direct, indirect or consequential, howsoever caused.

Venue policies:

Students in attendance will be expected to comply at all times with the rules and regulations imposed by the venue and may be removed from the taught day for failure to do so. Any loss of personal property at the venue is at your own risk. You may be held liable for any damage you may cause at the venue.

Feedback, complaints, comments and suggestions:

If you have any feedback, complaint, comments or suggestions about the programme, please contact us in writing to nursetraining@lmc.org.uk / gpmtraining@lmc./org.uk We will acknowledge this within ten working days and agree and appropriate timescale with you in which to respond to your request.

Equality:

Londonwide LMCs Ltd and Londonwide Enterprise Ltd is committed to equality for all. All participants (including wider groups of individuals connected to the organisation) are expected to value and respect each other.

The behaviour of non-employed associates of the company will be addressed where they are in breach of this principle and may be subject to the following actions:

  • Contractors/trainers may have their contract terminated.
  • Students may be removed from the programme / module.
  • Venue and staff – this will be followed up and review undertaken on whether to use the facilities again.

Force majeure:

Londonwide Enterprise Ltd shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations where caused by circumstances beyond its control including for example acts of God, war, riot, explosion (including terrorist attack), abnormal weather, or natural physical disaster, fire, flood, strikes or Government agency action or regulations.

VAT registration:

All payments are subject to VAT and Londonwide Enterprise Ltd VAT registration number is 130 1454 66.
